Aberdeen’s very own Hanon have built a reputation for injecting their Scottish sensibility into their brand collabs and their take on the Reebok Workout Lo Plus was no different. Hanon’s distinctive sense of humour shone through in a design that pays homage to a cult moment in Reebok history – the “Belly’s Gonna Get Ya” TV ad from 2000.
We were asked to bring this story to life; reworking the classic TV ad on the streets of Aberdeen.
Our creative approach to this harnessed the irreverence of both brands, using humour through lo-fi illustration and animation as our way of delivering on an ambitious brief, we stayed true to the original concept while adding something distinctively new to the mix.
