Shakespeare Refashioned

We were commissioned by Mary McCartney and Apple to take part in Selfridges celebration of 400 Years of the Bard.

Our challenge was to shoot a film that revisits Shakespeare’s most beloved characters in a contemporary context, shot entirely on an iPhone 6S. Despite the film being shot on a smartphone camera, we maintained a cinematic quality to the piece as we carefully navigate through scenarios and scenes that juxtapose a London council estate with theatrical props, styling and a spoken word piece by James Massiah.

Though most videos on the Selfridges social media channel average 10k views, “Shakespeare Refashioned” went viral, sparking 750k views.
